Eric has been with Constant Contact® since January 2001 and built the sales and business development departments from the ground up, helping propel Constant Contact's growth to more than 150,000 customers today. In his role, Eric oversees the recruitment, education, and training of small businesses and organizations worldwide. Eric developed Constant Contact's Power of Relationships Program, an educational outreach program for small businesses, associations, and nonprofits offered globally by Constant Contact via live seminars and online webinars. This program provides small businesses and organizations with a comprehensive foundation on how to build successful, lasting customer relationships. In addition to worldwide strategy and market development, Eric also oversees Constant Contact's charitable program, Cares4Kids™ (www.cares4kids.com).
Eric has more than 20 years of experience building sales, business development, online, and marketing strategies for leading companies. Prior to Constant Contact, Groves was the executive director of Worldwide Sales & Business Development at AltaVista, a provider of search services and technology. He also held leadership positions at iAtlas Corp. InfoUSA® Inc., MFS Communications, SBC Communications (now AT&T), and Citicorp (now Citigroup Inc.) and served on the Board of Directors of LogoWorks (acquired by Hewlett Packard). Eric is a frequent speaker across the country and has addressed thousands of attendees on behalf of the Small Business Administration, US Chamber of Commerce, Association of Small Business Development Centers, and many other industry organizations.
Eric holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Grinnell College and a Master of Business Administration from The University of Iowa.
